On April 29, 2019, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment held a regular press conference in April 2019. Director of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Mr. Liu Youbin, presided over the press conference, Cao Liping, Director of the Ecological Environment Enforcement Bureau, and jointly answered questions of concern to you.
In terms of air pollution control, Cao Liping pointed out that in recent years, the national ecological environment law enforcement team has guided the socialism of Chinese characteristics with Xi Jinping's new era as a guideline, and has continuously strengthened supervision and law enforcement, persisting in a long time, step by step, and opening the road on the mountain. In the water, the courage of the bridge and the stone are printed, the iron is traced, and the green hills are firmly guarded.
In June 2018, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment launched the intensive supervision of the key areas of the Blue Sky Defence War in 2018-19. In the past year, we have coordinated the dispatching of the national ecological environment system with a total of 19,500 person-times, and carried out 22 rounds of “pressure-type” intensive supervision. On-site inspections of various types of 666,000 (times), a total of 11,117 alarm grids were pushed to the local area. Help the place to find and hand over 52,000 ecological and environmental problems, and all the bills will be linked, and once they are fixed, they will not let go. From the monitoring results, overall good results have been achieved, and air quality in key areas has continued to improve. In 2018, the concentration of PM2.5 in Beijing was 51 μg/m3, down 12.1% year-on-year; the average concentration of PM2.5 in “2+26” cities in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei and surrounding areas was 60 μg/m3, down 11.8% year-on-year; The average concentration of PM2.5 in 11 cities in the plain was 58 μg/m3, down 10.8% year-on-year.
In 2019, we will continue to intensify the supervision of the key areas of the Blue Sky Defence War, and plan to coordinate the deployment of 22,000 people in the national ecological environment system, covering the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and surrounding “2+26” cities and the 11 cities in the Plains, planned from May 8. The day began a new round of intensive supervision.
